International soloist, Rocco Parisi, has performed with some of Italy’s top symphonic orchestras throughout the world. His bass clarinet quartet is a rare find in Europe. Rocco and his quartet will perform exciting programs that will no doubt surprise listeners who are not familiar with the expressive nature of this little known instrument. With works ranging from jazz standards, to classical opera, the Rocco Parisi Quartet will fill the forum with the deep sounds of four bass clarinets.

The « Balarm sax quartet » was created in 1990 at the Vicenzo Bellini Conservatory in Palermo where each of quartet members teaches music. The quartet has performed throughout Italy’s concert halls and many of the top international concert tours. The quartet members are also the founders and organizers of the Palermo Jazz Festival known as the “Balarm Sax Festival”. |
